Firstly Chevrolet cruze will be designed for the Asian market 2016. It will be presented at the Beijing Auto Show. Probably this model will be built at General motors plant in Ohio or Detroit. As far as power trains go, the Cruze for U.S. market could use the same engines that outgoing model had. The recent introduction showed that the 2.0 liter diesel unit (LUZ) in the Cruize Diesel may be the best choice for adoption into the new model. It is hard to say whether new 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder Ecotec engines announced for the Chinese-spec Cruze will be installed into the U.S. model, although it’s likely it will have the new 7-speed dual-clutch
automatic transmission from the Chinese variant, as well as the six-speed manual. The manufacturer will also offer a
six-speed automatic. Unlike previous versions, this time Chevrolet Cruze owed as a combination of sedan and coupe cars. After redesigning the grill, Cruze got a lot more aggressive look.
2016 Chevrolet Cruze engine
There is a continuous work and thinking about installation of a new Ecotec engine for Chevy Cruze. Ecotec engine, was developed in cooperation with GM and SAIC. This engine will have a six-speed or seven-speed dual clutch gearbox. The engine will of course be a four-cylinder 1.4L turbo-compressor that can develop 140 hp while the 1.5L engine Ecotec develops around 113 hp. It is expected that the installation of the engine and transmission make a saving of 20% on fuel consumption.
2016 Chevrolet Cruze interior
On the front panel cruze will have a narrow angular headlights and rear tail lamps. Also newChevy will have a redesigned center console, and modern look steering wheel. Car will be a little longer than previous models. On the back of the car will be increased trunk space for rear seat passengers. 2016 Chevrolet Cruze will use GM’s Delta II platform. Spacing between axles will be slightly higher than before. The biggest change is a new front-end, which is designed in the same way as the rest of the Chevrolet lineup. The car has the same body styling, as well as the rear clip, so you should not expect that the U.S. market Cruze would be dramatically different from the Chinese version.
