Combining fuel powered 500’s look with an electric power and single speed transmission this car has estimate range of 87 miles, while FIAT claims it can go up to 100 miles on one charge in city driving conditions.

With an 83-kilowatt electric motor and 111 horse powers Fiat 500e provides nice performance for an electric car with top speed of 88 mph. A lithium-ion battery seated under the floor provides good balance with nice and quiet drive. Battery can be recharged with 120v and 240v charger, and when fully depleted it takes about 4 hours to recharge with 240v charger, and a little bit less than 24 hours with 120v one.
Another good thing is that battery can be recharged at any time without its life span being affected. So you don’t have to wait for battery to be fully depleted, you can simply recharge it whenever you want. As far as the efficiency goes Environmental Protection Agency rated 500e at 122 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) in the city, and 108MPGe on highway which adds up to 116 MPGe combined.

Its appearance is very similar to classical FIAT 500 model with just a few differences, and it comes in seven different colors to choose from. Exterior features 15 inch Aluminum wheels, model-specific front air dam, chrome door handles and eco spoiler along with side skirts that were borrowed from Abarth model.
Interior features noise reducing pads, acoustic glass and premium 7 inch color cluster display that provides not just general vehicle information, but also info about range details and battery. It can seat four people, but back seats are best to be used by children because there is not a lot of space available.
Standard model comes with six-speaker, 276-watt stereo system with USB and AUX inputs, keyless entry, a rear park assist system, automatic climate control, and a 4.3-inch display with TomTom navigation unit.

After debuting in 2013, the 500e has not suffered any changes for 2015 model and it will remain the same. Price of 500e model is 31.800 dollars for base model with standard equipment, but it can go even more if you decide to build it up and add some additional features. Sounds good right? There is only one catch. For now 500e can only be bought in California and Oregon.
